Sportifyr ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Sportifyr iOS application.
Please read this policy carefully. By using Sportifyr, you agree to the practices described here.
Sportifyr uses your device's location to work out how long a drive will take and when you need to leave.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
We use PostHog to collect usage analytics. This helps us understand how users interact with the app and where we can improve.
We do not send athletes' or household members' names to PostHog.
Analytics events are associated with a pseudonymous account identifier (the internal account ID assigned when you sign up) and a device identifier generated by the PostHog SDK. These identifiers let us understand how a single account uses the app over time. They are not your name or email address, and we do not send your name or email address to PostHog.
We do not use advertising SDKs, we do not collect the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA), and we do not share your data with data brokers or use it to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
Sportifyr uses AI in three distinct ways. They send different information, and they are triggered differently.
Each morning, at the time you choose in Settings → Notifications, Sportifyr sends you a notification summarising the day.
Today that summary is written entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to any AI service to produce it. It is assembled from the schedule your device already holds.
If we enable AI-written briefings in future, that would mean sending the day's schedule to Anthropic's Claude model through our server: athlete names, event titles, times and locations, the household members involved, and, if you have connected Google Calendar, the titles and times of that day's personal calendar entries. We will update this policy before that happens, not after.
Athlete accounts would not use an AI briefing in any case. An athlete's summary is written on their own device.
You can turn this off. See section 7.4.
When a synced schedule changes, Sportifyr first checks the change on your device. Only changes the on-device check cannot settle are sent for AI review, and only three things go: the event title, its start time, and what changed. No athlete names, no locations, no account information.

When you ask the assistant a question, it can read your household's schedule in order to answer: athlete names, event details, and household members' display names and roles. Nothing is sent until you ask a question.
This is not covered by the switch below, because asking is itself the request.
Settings → Privacy contains a single switch covering both automatic flows above: the daily briefing and schedule change review. With it off, neither sends anything, and Sportifyr uses on-device checks instead.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account:

Sportifyr is built for parents and guardians managing youth sports schedules. Most information about a child in Sportifyr (their name, their sport, their schedule) is entered by an adult about their own child, not collected from the child.
Sportifyr has an athlete role, which lets a young person see their own schedule on their own device.
An athlete account can only be created by invitation from an adult in the household. There is no way for a child to sign up on their own. The adult who sends the invitation decides that their child should have an account, and is shown what that means before sending it.
An athlete's device stores the schedule for the athlete they are linked to, so the app works without a connection. It does not store other children's schedules.
Sportifyr's optional location features (section 2.4) use the location of the device the app is installed on, where the person using it has granted permission. In normal use, that is the parent or guardian's device. Because coordinates never leave the device, no household member can see where another household member is.
If you are a parent or guardian and you want to review, change or delete what Sportifyr holds about your child, contact us at privacy@jingleinteractive.com. Removing an athlete's profile or revoking their account removes their data from the household.
If you believe a child has provided us information without a parent's involvement, contact us at privacy@jingleinteractive.com and we will delete it promptly.
